System Requirements

The information you need to get CrystalMaker
up and running on your Macintosh.

COMPUTER SPECIFICATIONS

CrystalMaker-4 requires a MacOS-compatible computer with PowerPC processor (e.g., PowerMacintosh, iMac, G3, etc.), and running System 7.0, or later (including MacOS8). Earlier versions of CrystalMaker will run on older 68K Macs (68020, 68030 and 68040-series processors). To use the CD-ROM Edition, you will require a double-speed, or faster, CD-ROM drive.

A minimum of 6 MB of free RAM must be allocated to CrystalMaker (for a 14-inch colour monitor running in 8-bit colour). Larger monitors and greater colour depths will require more RAM (e.g., we recommend 10-12 MB for a 21-inch colour monitor running in thousands or millions of colours). The more memory you allocate to CrystalMaker, the greater your options when generating high-quality, high-resolution graphics!

CrystalMaker is optimized for 16-bit ("thousands") and 32-bit ("millions") colour. If your computer/monitor combination can handle these colour depths, you should experience photo-realistic, smooth graphics.
